I have never driven one. I need to change that.

It's one of a few I haven't driven either. I almost took one for a rental but felt too cramped that I had to switch. (I'm 6ft 3)

The GIF sums it up pretty well.
We had nearly perfect weather yesterday, and my commute home with the top down was very peaceful.
I drove about 50 miles on the highway with the top down a couple months ago, and I swear all the wind beating me in the head put me in a trance.

I had a 6'6 guy drive mine once. That being said a stock one might be cramped. I had to remove the interior door handle to work the clutch.

Anyone near Chillicothe, Ohio want to go for a ride?

That GIF is amazing!
To truly feel like him you have to drive a Ferrari with a gated shifter though.
He has a thing for red 6MT Ferraris with black interiors. I've seen two former cars of his for sale before.

I drove mine this past weekend from home to school(about 220 miles) in glorious weather. I drove with the top down the entire time. It was heaven.

That makes sense, I find the leg space is the biggest issue as well. I have been thinking about picking one up and removing a ton of the interior components to lighten it and do the custom seat mod that seems to be popular but I'd rather be able to try it before I bit the bullet haha.

I've owned two ('99 NB and 12' NC) and it wasn't quite that amazing IMO. Great car, a lot of fun, but its not exactly nirvana. You can get the convertible feeling in, well, any convertible. The handling is great, but not drastically better than other fun to drive cars. The shifter is incredible, but again, I've been in other cars with an amazing shifter.
Always felt like it was like Jimmy Buffet, it had a cult following and you had to go to the concert (drive one) to understand. Much like JB, I went, and still wasn't completely sure why there is such a following.

I have a foamectomy, no door handle, and a 320mm wheel on a quick release. These things add up and make it a lot easier. That being said in a pinch I could make a stock one work. I've ridden passenger in a stock one with a helmet and the roof up. I'm 6'0"

I have the seat bolted to the floor in mine (6"4"), but that was mainly to pass the broomstick test. It's a fun, very direct little car to drive.

I have long legs for my 5'11" height, that's what makes it uncomfortable.
Not to mention the pedal box is the size of a shoe box.
